As we celebrate five incredible years of innovation and growth at ZAKA, we wanted to create something special to commemorate this milestone. What better way to do this than by leveraging our passion for AI and technology to create a memorable experience for everyone in our community?
A Fun & Interactive Experience
The ZAKA Souvenir Photobooth is a web application designed to bring a bit of fun and AI magic to our celebrations. It allows users to capture a photo using their webcam, apply a variety of AI-driven styles, and receive a customized postcard via email. Here’s a peek into how this exciting project works and what it means for our new development department.
Our Souvenir Photobooth is built with a powerful backend using Flask, a popular web framework for Python. This setup ensures that the application is robust, scalable, and ready to handle a multitude of users capturing their fun moments. But what makes this photobooth truly stand out is its use of AI to transform ordinary photos into styled, memorable postcards. 🃏
Personalized Postcards
Once you capture a photo using the photobooth, you can choose from a variety of styles that represent different facets of ZAKA’s work — from HealthTech and AI labs to LegalTech and cityscapes. Each style adds a unique flair to your photo, making it a perfect keepsake.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! After styling your photo, the application sends you a customized postcard via email. Thanks to our integration with AWS SES (Simple Email Service), the postcards are delivered promptly and reliably. Plus, each email includes a randomly generated LinkedIn caption tailored to the selected style, encouraging you to share your ZAKA experience with your network.

Meanwhile, AWS SES handles email delivery, ensuring that your personalized postcards arrive in your inbox without a hitch.
