Welcome to ZAKA Base: One Level Down, Many Levels Up!

We’re very excited to share some big news. ZAKA has a new home, and yes, it’s officially called ZAKA Base.

ZAKA started as a fully remote initiative, built on one simple belief: talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. Over the years, we trained thousands of learners online, connected communities across borders, and showed that impactful AI education doesn’t have to be limited by geography.

But we knew something was missing.

We wanted a place where learning doesn’t stop when the Zoom call ends. A space for real conversations, hands-on collaboration, mentorship, and community. A place to test ideas, build projects, and grow together.

That’s how ZAKA Base was born.

Why ZAKA Base? Because we went underground. Literally

ZAKA Base is a basement space in the BDD 1243 building (-1). Just like its physical location, it represents our philosophy: strong foundations lead to greater heights. From the ground up, this is where learners build skills, ideas, and networks that will lift them into the future.

Yes, even our basement was powered by AI.

What makes ZAKA Base even more special is how it was built. We used AI tools like Gemini, Stable Diffusion, and ChatGPT to brainstorm, visualize, and test ideas. The result? A space co-created with AI that reflects what ZAKA is all about: learning by doing, collaborating, and growing together.

More Than a Basement, It’s ZAKA Base

We officially launched the space with the team gathering there to celebrate the end of the year, reflect on everything we’ve achieved, and plan new goals for the year ahead. Going underground turned out to be the perfect place to think big.

Where Learning Digs Deeper

ZAKA Base was created to be more than just a team space. It’s a place to come together, reconnect, and grow our community.

This is where we will:

● Gather as a team to collaborate and plan
● Reunite with our graduates and ambassadors
● Expand our community through events meetups and hackathons
● Host trainings in an environment built for learning and exchange

It’s proof that great things don’t always happen above ground.

The first thing you’ll see is our bold orange ZAKA décor wall, paired with an LED sign that proudly reads ZAKA Base. It’s hard to miss and impossible not to smile at.

ZAKA Base represents a new chapter for us. It’s where we’re building, connecting, and planning what’s next from the ground up.

We’re excited to welcome our graduates, partners, and community into the space.
