AI can feel overwhelming when you’re just starting out. What can it actually do? How do you use it well? And where is the technology heading?
Over the past few months, ZAKA Ambassadors have been helping students explore those questions through a series of interactive workshops and webinars.
During an AI for Everyone workshop with students from the Faculty of Business, participants explored how AI can be applied across business functions and industries.
The session focused on making AI concepts easier to understand and connect to areas such as productivity, decision-making, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The conversations showed that AI is not only relevant to technical students. It is becoming a useful skill across fields.
On July 30, ZAKA Ambassadors and IEEE BAU hosted Prompt Engineering Essentials, led by Eng. Hanan Aref.
Around 30 students learned how frameworks like RACE can help them create clearer, more effective prompts. The session included live examples, image generation, and building customized GPTs.
With questions and discussions throughout the session, students left with practical techniques they could immediately apply to assignments, projects, and everyday tasks.
Then, on August 26, 25 students joined “AI Era: A Student’s Guide,” led by AI consultant Hadi Abou Daya and organized with IEEE Computer Society PU Student Chapter and Google Developer Group on Campus – Phoenicia University.
The session explored how AI has evolved, covering machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and AI agents. It also looked beyond the tools themselves, introducing students to the chips, data centers, energy, and infrastructure powering today’s AI systems.
While each session explored a different side of AI, they all created the same opportunity: students could learn, ask questions, and connect AI to their own studies and future careers.
Through the ZAKA Ambassador community, these sessions are helping bring AI knowledge closer to students and giving them more opportunities to explore the technology shaping the future.
